Neurensics is a research agency that uses techniques from neuropsychology to understand how consumers respond to products, advertisements and other marketing communications.

For this study, we use EEG, which stands for electroencephalography. This is a technique used to measure brain activity through electrodes placed on the head. The electrodes record signals through the scalp, and the measurement is completely painless and non-invasive for you as a participant.
In the image below, you can see what such a cap looks like.

Please note: during the EEG study, we use gel to ensure we can measure the signal as accurately as possible. This means that some gel may remain in your hair afterwards. We provide towels to help remove most of it. It may be helpful to schedule your appointment at a time when you can go home afterwards and wash your hair properly.

In addition, we ask you not to wear large earrings, or to remove them before the study, so that the electrodes can be positioned properly.

How does it work?
  • The study will take place at the University of Amsterdam (Roeterseiland Campus)
  • The research will be conducted between October 26 and November 22
  • Your participation will take approximately 90-105 minutes in total
  • You will receive a compensation of €80
