Welcome to the Ukraine stresstest
2021, ScMI worked with a distinguished group of international experts to develop eight long-term scenarios on the future of globalization and the global world order. These so-called "New Global Scenarios" extend to the year 2035 and beyond. They were subsequently evaluated by experts from 65 countries and are available to everyone as an open-source publication.
After the assessment was completed in mid-2022, the Russo-Ukrainian war began. Many people have since asked what this means for the New Global scenarios. Basically, the long-term New Global scenarios provide a perspective that extends beyond the current war. Nevertheless, there are correlations. How likely a particular scenario is to occur may well depend on the course of the war in Ukraine.
Therefore, we want to use a "Ukraine stresstest" to work out (1) what short-term developments are expected for the coming year, (2) what impact this has on the long-term New Global scenarios, and (3) what specific consequences are associated with the Russo-Ukrainian war.
You are cordially invited to participate in this stress test. The results - just like the New Global scenarios themselves - will be made available as open source. In addition, we will be happy to include you in our New Global scenario team if you provide us with your contact details at the end of the questionnaire.
