The UK spends millions each year on agricultural research, but there is currently no overall picture of where that money is going, or how well it fits with anyone’s priorities. This survey is part of a project to provide that evidence.

Called the ‘State of Agricultural Research and Innovation’ (SARI), the project is run by an independent team from the Centre for Agricultural Research Impact (Ag.Impact), working with the main UK agricultural research organisations and public funders.
The survey is open to anyone with a professional interest in agriculture, food or land use. It takes around 15-20 minutes to complete, though researchers will be asked a few extra questions which will take a bit longer.

We are very grateful to the project sponsors at University of Reading, Agricultural Universities Council and the Innovation & Research Caucus (IRC) for their support. This work is supported by Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) grant ES/X010759/1.
